16th October 2017: Mr. Levison Wood (Senior) “Dear Duchess” the life, loves and tragedies of North Staffordshire’s own Millicent Sutherland.
20th November 2017: Mr. Bill Ridgway “A History of Biddulph Moor Church”
18th December 2017: Mr. Frank Harris will talk on “Over Two Decades of Organising the Biddulph Festival”
15th January 2018: Dr. Andy Fear “Blood and Sand: Gladiators in the Roman Empire”
20th February 2018: Mr. K. Barber “Biddulph Palace Cinema”
18th March 2018: The A.G.M followed by activities and a local photograph slide discussion.
16th April 2018: Mr. Paul Walton “The Gardening Year”
21st May 2018: Catherine Burgass “Reading the Bastille - The Workhouse at Chell” A looking at the Chell Workhouse as represented in Charles Shaw’s memoirs, Bennett’s shameless plundering in Clayhanger, and Arthur Berry’s much later memoirs, probably addressing the broader question of what literature can offer to historians.
